Eating at Sukiya was a combination of excitement and enjoyment. I was excited because it was my first time dining at this restaurant that brings with it a type of local Japanese dining experience. I also enjoyed the food. I will definitely come back to try their other food offerings. If there was something that the restaurant needs to improve on, it would be the service. The staff were friendly, but it took some time before a staff member could assist us. Everybody just seemed so busy. Overall, I enjoyed my time at this restaurant, and I will definitely come back for more.

Their choco ice cream has a nice combination of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Gyudon has a rich taste and their pork bowl gives taste of warm flavor. Their chicken karaage is crunchy and soft.

They offer several takes on gyudon, which is perfect if you’re craving variety. Tried the Melted Cheese Gyudon—cheese was a bit salty and didn’t blend well with the beef, but the soft-boiled egg gyudon you crack yourself is a fun touch. Chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, yakisoba was decent, and service stayed quick even with the crowd. Budget-friendly and ideal for fast, affordable gyudon—I’ll be back to try the yakiniku next! @airaalca.eats on Instagram

Sukiya has become our go-to ever since we avoided fast food. Their service is as quick as any fast food, but the meals feel much healthier. We prefer meals that aren’t overloaded with flavoring or artificial taste — something that’s been a bit excessive in Filipino commercial cuisine. Sometimes, less seasoning actually feels healthier and more balanced. I love exploring their menu, but I think I’ve finally found my favorite — the Melted Yakiniku and Cheese Gyudon (always large for us!). Their newest Matcha Passion Fruit drink at ₱89 is also a must-try. My husband says the taste here is pretty much the same as the branches in Japan — they’ve managed to maintain the original flavors well.

Feels like Japan. I can only review Gyudons since it is what I ate. I came in 3 times, ordered XM. Gyudon with egg, apicy gyudon and garlic spicy gyudon with vegetables. For the price to portion ratio, very very good! I also liked their free flowing Barley tea. Please note it can really get busy at peak hours so you need to be patient. Will come back!
